You can bring goods up to the value limit without paying duty or VAT when travelling to Norway. There are separate quotas for alcohol, tobacco, meat and cheese.
The value limit The value limit is NOK 6,000 or NOK 3,000 if you have been outside of Norway for less than 24 hours. This value limit is the sum total of the items you have bought, including the alcohol and tobacco quota.
Red or green channel At most border crossings RED and GREEN channels have been introduced. Go through the red channel if you have goods that are liable for duties and taxes, or if you have goods that require special permits.
Alcohol and tobacco quotas You may bring a duty free alcohol and tobacco quota when you have been abroad.
Norwegian Customs app With the Norwegian Customs app you may calculate the quota for alcohol and tobacco products. Additionally, you may easily declare and pay taxes in the app.
Meat, milk, cheese and other foods A quota of a total of 10 kilograms of meat, meat products, cheese and animal feed products applies when travelling to Norway.
Fruit, vegetables, plants, flowers and seeds There are limits to what you can bring with you of vegetables, fruit, berries, plants and seeds to Norway.
