Different proofs of origin

Note: An update of this article is pending. Please note that some terms and/or references may differ from the Movement of Goods Act and the Customs Duty Act that enters into force from the 1st of January 2023.

Certificate of origin EUR. 1 can be used for

  • All preferential trade with the EU;
  • All preferential trade with free trade partners in the EUR-MED Area, with the exception of Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea.

Certificate of origin EUR-MED can be used for

  • All preferential trade with countries in the EUR-MED Area;
  • All preferential trade with the Faroe Islands.

Certificate of origin (invoice declaration) can be used for

  • All preferential trade with Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea

It can also be used by approved exporters for all preferential trade with the EU and free trade partners outside Europe, except for countries in the EUR-MED Area, the Faroe Islands and GCC member states.

EUR-MED certificate of origin (invoice declaration) can be used

  • By approved exporters for all preferential trade with countries in the EUR-MED Area;
  • By approved exporters for all preferential trade with the Faroe Islands.
