Duty-free and tax-free quota
Employees who have finished their active duty abroad and have not worked on board during the journey to Norway can import a tax-free ‘traveller’s quota’ provided that they have been out of the country for at least 24 hours in total.
Ferry personnel
The following restrictions apply to keeping alcoholic beverages and tobacco products on board: The master is permitted to keep two litres of spirits or wine, 400 cigarettes or 400 grams of tobacco products. For each additional crew member: One litre of spirits, one litre of wine, 200 cigarettes or 250 grams of tobacco products.
Storage

Crew members and the ship’s master are obliged to include highly taxed goods in excess of the permitted quota in the crew’s effects declaration.
